Glazed walls / countertops

Wipe with damp cloth sponge or using all-purpose cleaner. Use window cleaner for glossy surfaces. Wipe dry with cloth.

Vacuum regularly to remove gritty particles. Damp mop using solution of water and "soapless" detergent.

Use a commercial tile cleaner or a strong solution of water and "soapless" detergent. If stained, use scouring powder paste. Let stand for five minutes, brush and scrub. Rinse and dry. For large areas and for areas that are difficult to clean, a power scrubber is recommended.

Glazed shower tiles
|
Use all-purpose or bathroom cleaner. Allow to stand for five minutes, rinse and dry. You can also use a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar or a commercial tile cleaner.
|
Use chlorine bleach or hydrogen peroxide. Be sure to test these on colored grout before use. For stubborn stains, use scouring powder containing a bleaching agent. Let stand four to six minutes, the scrub and rinse thoroughly. To remove mildew, use a commercial tile cleaner, chlorine bleach or ammonia, being sure to test an inconspicuous area first. DO NOT MIX BLEACH AND AMMONIA.

Commercial Applications
|
For smaller commercial areas, vacuum regularly to remove gritty particles. Using a "soapless detergent", scrub with an inexpensive nylon brush (such as a "Doodle Bug") and then use a wet/dry vac to remove water and soap residue. After initial cleaning, replace the nylon brush and replace thereafter as it becomes worn. For large commercial areas, it is best to use a commercial floor scrubbing machine.

Caring for Your New Ceramic Tile
|
Ceramic
Ceramic and porcelain tile are excellent mediums to explore for both functionality and design. Ceramic and
porcelain tiling is dense and strong, easy to clean, long lasting and does not absorb smell, water or carry
allergens. It is an excellent choice for kitchens and bathrooms, but it can serve in any part of the house as
either floor tile or decorative wall tile. Because ceramic and porcelain tiles are man made, there is also more
flexibility in the tile design. Tile, like hardwood, can improve the resale value of a home. The tiles come in a
sometimes overwhelming array of colors and arrangements. With mosaics, listellos, borders and tiles with
images on them to choose from, rest assured that you will be able to pick out the right tile(s) for your project

Things to Remember
Never use any harsh agent that can scratch the surface of the tile. Always test new products in an
inconspicuous corner of the tile before use. Apply a silicone sealer to your grout joints several times a year
for maximum protection against staining. Loose or cracking grouts need to be scraped clean and refilled.

help reduce weight and installation time.
To help with the tiling of your new shower or tub we also carry preformed niches, benches and soap dishes.
